7 DAYS TANZANIA CHIMPANZEE SAFARI
Chimpanzee trekking is an adventurous activity where you move deep into the forest in search of the habituated chimpanzee families and once found you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you an opportunity to learn more about their behaviors, habits, watch them feed, hunt, play, rest among others. Trekking to see Africa’s chimpanzees is an exhilarating experience! This great ape species is the closest living relative of humans and seeing them in their natural environment is both thrilling and fascinating.

DAY 1: ARUSHA TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
We will leave Arusha early morning and travel to Serengeti National Park. We will travel to Serengeti on a road near the rim of Ngorongoro Crater, allowing for animal sightings along the way. The golden savannah and endless plains, teeming with zebras, wildebeest, and giraffes make it easy to understand why the Serengeti is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. On this day, we will enjoy a picnic lunch on Naabai kopje (a small, rocky hill in a generally flat area), where you will have the opportunity to view the Serengeti’s famous pink-headed lizards. After lunch, we will proceed further into the plains for a leisurely game drive. You will spend the night at the hotel, and fall asleep to the playful calls of the zebra and hyenas.

DAY 2: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
We will begin the day in heart of the Serengeti. The animals found in the Serengeti are extremely diverse so visitors will likely enjoy views of lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, water buffalo, zebras, and wildebeests. In addition, elands, hyenas, gazelles, crocodiles, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, and antelopes are all found within the park. Don’t worry about the time of year of your safari, because there are animals within the Serengeti all year! After the game drive, a delectable dinner will be served at the hotel.

DAY 3: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK TONGORONGORO CRATER
This day marks the last day of the game drive in Serengeti before we make our way to Ngorongoro Crater. After an exciting game drive full of animal sightings and a picnic lunch, we will drive to the Crater. This night we will stay at the hotel, overlooking the unbroken caldera of Ngorongoro Crater. The views of the sunset over the savannah are absolutely breathtaking. After a long day of adventuring, guests will enjoy a tasty dinner prepared by our friendly cook.

DAY 4: NGORONGORO CRATER TO ARUSHA
This day marks the last day of the game drive in Serengeti before we make our way to Ngorongoro Crater. After an exciting game drive full of animal sightings and a picnic lunch, we will drive to the Crater. This night we will stay at the hotel, overlooking the unbroken caldera of Ngorongoro Crater. The views of the sunset over the savannah are absolutely breathtaking. After a long day of adventuring, guests will enjoy a tasty dinner prepared by our friendly cook.

DAY 5: CHIMPANZEE TREKKING
We pick you up and transfer you to the airport for your scheduled flight to Kigoma. Arrive at Kigoma airport at 09:05 am. We will pick you up upon arrival and transfer you to Ujiji Town. Visit the Dr.Livingstone memorial center before transferring to Kibirizi port for your boat to Gombe. Pick up on arrival and transfer to the camp. At 14:00, enjoy hot lunches at the camp. Afterward, proceed for chimpanzee tracking in the forest. Gombe Stream’s main attraction is obviously the chimpanzee families that live protected within the park’s boundaries. Visitors take deep walks into the forest to observe and sit with the extraordinary primates for an entire morning. Apart from chimpanzee viewing, many other species of primates live in Gombe Stream’s tropical forests. Val vet and colobus monkeys, baboons, forest pigs, and dik-dik inhabit the dense forest and a wide variety of tropical birdlife. Dinner and overnight will be at Hotel.

DAY 6: GOMBE STREAM
At 08:30 am, start chimpanzee tracking in the forest. Gombe became well known for the conservation project started by Jane Goodall, who first arrived in Gombe in 1960. Apart from chimpanzee viewing, many other species of primates live in Gombe Stream’s tropical forests, like velvet, Colobus monkeys, and baboons. Climb to Jane’s Peak and visit Kakombe waterfalls f time allows. Meals and overnight will be at Hotel.

DAY 7: GOMBE TO KIGOMA/FLY BACK TOKILIMANJARO AIRPORT
The morning after breakfast, we pick you up and transfer you by boat back to Kigoma town. On arrival, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Dar-es-Salaam or Kilimanjaro. End of tour. You’ll be dropped off at the airport.
